ApkBan, available at apkban.com, respects the intellectual property rights of others. This policy explains how copyright owners can report allegedly infringing content and how affected contributors can dispute a removal.

We review copyright complaints concerning material hosted on ApkBan or links published on our website. Where applicable, we follow the notice-and-counter-notice procedures of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Submit a Copyright Complaint

If you own a copyright, or are authorised to act on behalf of its owner, you may request removal of material that you believe infringes those rights.

Please send a written notice containing:

  1. Your contact details: Full name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work: Describe the work you believe has been infringed. You may provide an original publication URL or other supporting information. For multiple works, provide a representative list.
  3. Location of the disputed material: Include the exact ApkBan URL for each item or link you want reviewed, with enough detail for us to locate it.
  4. A good-faith statement: State that you believe the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, their agent or the law.
  5. An accuracy and authority statement: Confirm that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the allegedly infringed exclusive right.
  6. Your signature: Include your physical or electronic signature.

Before submitting a notice, consider whether the use is authorised by a licence or permitted by law, including applicable copyright exceptions.

How We Handle Notices

We review notices and may request clarification if essential information is missing.

When a notice meets the applicable requirements, we will act promptly to remove or disable access to the identified material or link, as appropriate. Where relevant, we will notify the contributor responsible for the material.

Removal does not constitute a final legal determination that infringement occurred.

Counter-Notices

If you submitted material that was removed because of a copyright complaint and believe the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice.

For a counter-notice under the U.S. DMCA, include:

  • Your full name, address and telephone number.
  • Identification of the removed material and its location before removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court for the district where your address is located. If you reside outside the United States, consent to the jurisdiction of any judicial district where the service provider may be found.
  • A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Send counter-notices to the copyright contact listed above with the subject “DMCA Counter-Notice – ApkBan.”

Where the statutory DMCA process applies, we will forward a valid counter-notice to the original complainant. Removed material will be restored within 10–14 business days after receipt of the counter-notice unless we receive notice that the complainant has filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement.

External Downloads and Links

Some ApkBan pages may link to files or websites operated by third parties.

We can review and remove links published on ApkBan, but we cannot delete files hosted on another provider’s systems. To request removal of an externally hosted file, contact its operator or hosting provider directly.

Repeat Infringement

Where user accounts or contributor access are available, we will terminate access in appropriate circumstances for repeat copyright infringers.

Misleading or Abusive Notices

Submit notices and counter-notices only when their statements are accurate. Knowingly making material misrepresentations in a DMCA notice or counter-notice can lead to legal liability.

This process is intended for copyright disputes. Please use our general contact channel for trademark, privacy, impersonation or other complaints.

Information Shared During Review

We may share a notice or counter-notice, including relevant contact information, with the affected contributor, complainant, service provider or legal adviser as necessary to handle the dispute.

Do not include passwords, banking credentials or unrelated sensitive information.

Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy as our website practices or applicable requirements change. The latest version will appear on this page with an updated revision date.
